Our story is the same as everyone else's just a little different. Mike and I met sometime between September and October almost four years ago. He was not my typical kind of guy, with his quiet and reserved 'good ole' boy attitude. I was wild and crazy not to mention a bit older then he. Our first date was at Denny's, we did 'brunch' since it was the only time we had between his three to eleven and my six to two schedules. After that we were like two peas in a pod. Either we were together or I was on my way to see him. I drove two hours on way for six months to see him, yeah, he was worth it. In August of that year Mike and I planned a vacation to Saint Augustine, Florida. While at a 'Crossfade" concert there I noticed Mike kept wanting to say something but continued to stop short. Later that night, after singing, arguing, and a trip to Taco Bell... Mike asked me to be his wife. Of course, I excepted but told him I had to have some 'bling bling'. [Ha ha] Christmas of that same year, laying under the tree was my 'bling bling' and it became official. In the years since that night Mike and I have had our ups and downs like every other couple, however, unlike most we have managed to work through the BS and continued to be happy with one another. On October 11th of this year we will make it official again. I will become Mrs. Michael Pierce and he will become my husband. Although we already live a married life together on our wedding day not only will our last names become the same but our bonds to one another will be sealed with more then just our promises to one another but instead be be bound by the golden bands to remind us of our love and dedication to one another and our lives together. On October 11th of 2008 I will no longer be his damned girlfriend!
Our wedding will be a wonderfully romantic ceremony on the beaches of Atlantic Beach, NC on October 11th, 2008 at sunset. Not only have we found the perfect location with its Bamboo Altar, bridal walkway and white benches for seating but a perfect planner and officiant to help us with it all. Renee Melby will be presiding over the ceremony and arranging things for us down there. Exact directions to the location will be mailed with our invitations.
Since our wedding is to be so late in the evening and there are a lot of people [including us] traveling for the event so we thought it better to have our reception the following day. It will be held at our home in Winston Salem. We'll just be having a good ole fashioned cookout. This way there are not time limitations, everyone will leave with a full belly and we can relax.
We thank those of you who stood by us through our many endeavors and are glad that we will be spending this special day with you.
