Welcome

Our love story was not love at first sight. Dj and I met working at lone star steakhouse back in 2008. This was my first real job!  I never looked twice as dj as far as being a boyfriend, don't get me wrong I thought he was a cutie but he was a know-it-all to me which was a major turn off. One day I was working at the host stand when I ripped my pants straight down the middle my whole butt was showing. I was so embarrased i grabed my sweater and tied it around my waist. Dj happened to be coming in for work at that exact time when this happened. We were pretty good friends so he had a good laugh at me and kindly offered to drive me to tj maxx to get me some new pants. Of course he got a size too small and had to go back into the store to buy a random pair of black dress pants, as if the embarrasment at this point wasn't too much to handle! He was so sweet and after that day we begin being close friends. A bunch of us at lone star decided to rent our first house together and that was the craziest time of our lives. Dj happened to be one of my roommates and we begin spending more and more time together, dinner dates, movie dates, and always riding together to work. We made it official on feb 28thbwhen he asked me to be his girl friend. I was so happy. We partied like crazy the summer of 2009. We were so young and dumb without a care in the world. Once fall began approching dj and I decided as a couple that it was time for us to spread our wings. Our house with all of our friends was the best time of my life but we had to move on and get our lives on track. I wanted to go back to school and I knew with my serve ADD I wouldn't be able to have any success with that living in that house. We rented our first apartment together that fall. We were living on love. Our rent was 525 bucks a month and we were barely making it. Money never crossed our minds back then. I was so in love with him, we didn't have a penny in our savings and barely anything in the checking accounts but we were the happiest i think we both have ever been. Dj and I have grown together as a couple since then. We have had so many obsticals that should've broken us down but yet we seem to get stronger from them. We have been each other's support systems and best friends. We are completely in love!!!!!

Dj and I both work in the restaurant industry. its funny how we have stuck with the same profession as when we first met. I work for OSI at Outback Steakhouse in Winston Salem. Dj now has his own store with red lobster in Winston Salem and I couldn't be more proud of my man. 😍

dj and I had been together 5 years when he popped the question. i started to wonder if he was ever going to do it. we had looked at rings before and I even told him how to propse ha. I told him i wanted a photographer hiding in the bushes and I wanted all my family to know and be there. And he must tell my best friend so she can take me to get my nails done and all the beautiful things. Well the propsal did not happen like that at all. I was tired, no make-up on, no one around, typical dj style, and wouldn't have it any other way.

anyone who works I the restaurant industry knows that Valentine's Day is basically d-day!!! this day separates " the men from the boys" besides Mother's Day it is the busiest day of the year! After a 13 hour shift i got home and sat on the couch in tears because my day was so stressful. Do walked through the door with beautiful flowers and I instantly felt horrbile. We usually don't get each other gifts on Valentine's day because we both work so much that day and it's just never been a day we celebrated. How could he get me a gift and not tell me? I had nothing for him! He got down on one knee while I was still seated on the couch and I still thought nothing of it. He began his speech, the most beautiful words I have ever heard anyone tell another person, and then he pulled out a box from his pocket. I started shaking and yelling "shut up shut up" when he asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes and something along the lines of "it's about time!"
