Blessing and Love,

Desiree and Donta

We've known each other for almost 6 1/2 years as friends.  We attend the same church and were involed in the same ministries together; Choir, Masters Commission, Praise & Worship and Media. Our friendship grew and transformed into a beautiful relationship.  We dated for a while and talked about marriage and the future.  One day while we were looking through pictures on his phone, a wedding ring popped up in his photo gallery.  He forgot that he took a picture of it but I had definitely already saw it.  He played it off as if he meant for me to see it.  So he asks me if I would like it if he got me a ring "like this one."  I said it was beautiful but that it was sooooo big for me, lol.  I didn't tell him but I was studying the picture and realized that the picture was not taken in a jewelry store, but either at his job or at his apt.  So I started getting nervous because I began to realize that he may have already bought that exact ring!  So from that moment forward I was on edge looking around every corner wondering when he might propose.  He would invite me to lunch  at a nice restaurant and I would get nervous...but no ring, lol.  This went on for weeks.  Finally he invites me to a photoshoot for his family.  I was very anxious about being in the picture because I wasn't a part of the family.  So he finally convinced me that he really wanted me to be in the photoshoot and that everyone was ok with it.  After multiple photos taken of him with his sisters and mom, nephews, neices, etc...it was time for "couples" shots.  So as the last couple, we go up for a few shots and then the photographer had him to stand behind me as I stood in front.  After a few more shots of us the photographer asked me to turn around and look at him and there he was down on one knee!  I truly wasn't expecting him to propose to me on that day.   It was a great surprise and I love that we have pictures that captured the moment.
