| We are getting married at the Fort Fisher Historic Site, 1610 Ft. Fisher Blvd South, Kure Beach, N.C. 28449. The ceremony is at 6pm on Saturday, June 25, 2011. The location is the area known as the site's Grove of Trees, a beautiful oceanfront grove of trees overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. We both love the beach, and feel blessed to be making our commitment to eachother in such a picturesque setting. From Interstate 40 take College Road (State Road 132) south through Wilmington to U.S. 421. Take U.S. 421 south through Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. Fort Fisher is on the right just south of Kure Beach. Our guests will be able to park in the parking lot at the Fort Fisher Historic Site's Visitor Center and Civil War Museum, and simply cross the street and walk directly towards the beach to the wedding site. We suggest everyone allows themselves plenty of time to arrive at Fort Fisher, since we will no doubt be battling mid-summer beach traffic. Dress is beach casual (i.e. linen pants, sundresses). We want everyone to be comfortable. So, wear what you feel comfortable in! Even the bride and groom may be wearing flip-flops! | | Our reception will be held following the ceremony, beginning around 7pm, at the Harbour Point Clubhouse, 101 Green Turtle Lane in Carolina Beach. From Fort Fisher, head North on Fort Fisher Blvd (US 421) back towards Carolina Beach. Just before you reach the bridge, you will turn right onto Access Road. Turn right onto Spencer Farlow Drive. Take the 3rd right onto Island Marina Drive. Take the 1st left onto Green Turtle Lane. (If you reach SILVER SLOOP WAY you've gone a little too far.) The clubhouse and pool will be directly ahead. A special thanks to the Robert family for sponsoring our use of this lovely location overlooking the boats in the sound. We look forward to celebrating here with food, drinks, and music. Feel free to bring your bathing suits, as there is a pool at the clubhouse. | | We have rooms blocked off for our wedding guests at three hotels in Carolina Beach. Unfortunately, because this is peak season, the hotels require a two-night minimum stay. But hopefully many of our guests will be able to turn our wedding into an excuse for a summer vacation! Or perhaps some of our friends can plan ahead to share a room together. If you are booking a hotel room, please remember to book early (at least one month in advance). Our block rate rooms will be released if they are not booked by this time. And beach hotels fill up quickly in the summer.

We do not have rooms blocked outside of Carolina Beach, but there are several hotels along Carolina Beach Road between Carolina Beach and Wilmington that may have lower rates, since they are not right on the beach. There are also many hotels in Wilmington, which is about a 30-40 minute drive from Carolina Beach. | | We hope you find all the details you need on Our Wedding Website and Our Registry pages.
